Hey and welcome to Truthfully Taylor!

I’m Taylor; A 26 year old freelance writer, designer, and blogger. I’m also a mommy to two young, energetic boys ages four and one. (Never a dull moment, I’ll tell ya.) I currently reside in Beloit, WI with my mother, step-father, younger brother, and my two children.

What is it that makes me unique?

When I was five years old, my mom found a bald spot, about the size of a quarter, on my head while she was brushing my hair. Countless doctor visits later, and I was diagnosed with Alopecia Areata, an autoimmune disease that causes the body to attack it’s own hair follicles. Fast forward to when I graduated high school and by that time, I was completely bald. I’m talking no head hair, no eyebrows, eyelashes, leg or body hair. Not a single hair on my entire body.

After a string of bad relationships, dead end jobs, and the sudden death of my younger sister, I fell into a deep depression. I was forced to step back, take a good hard look at my life, and do (quite an extensive amount) of soul work. From the ashes of my former self, sprouted my all time dream; blogging. It all suddenly made sense. Not only could I use my writing, graphic design, and photography skills, but I could raise awareness to the things in my life that have plagued me in hopes that other sufferers will feel a little less alone.

So what am I planning to do with my own little slice of the internet?

Make tons of freaking money. No, I’m kidding! (Kind of.) My missions statement is, as follows, To inspire mankind to live their best possible lives by providing real life stories, honesty, and advice while encouraging creativity and fun along the way. So settle in, get a snack, and take a dive into the creative chaos that is my life.

PS… I encourage and appreciate any feedback or advice that you may have. I’m a huge fan of constructive criticism so lay it on me!
